NEWSLETTER VOLUME 2- Issue November/December 2005

Temperature Control Program
In our last newsletter Kendall Farms talked about the new temperature control program and its benefits. By using the information that we have gathered we have been able to address certain situations which have resulted in improved temperatures via trucking.

We are continuing to gather more data which allows us to better monitor the transportation system. This monitoring ensures that your products arrive in the best condition possible. We would love for all of our customers to participate in the program, free of charge. Please contact your salesperson for more information.

Starting the Cold Chain off on the Right Foot...
Did you know that Kendall Farms pre-cools every single box that is packed and shipped from our location? Three years ago we installed a state of the art pre-cooling system in our secondary cooler. The secondary cooler also has a sealed loading dock for our refrigerated trucks.

But before we even get to the secondary cooler we start the process off right. When our product is cut in the fields it is brought to our receiving area to be hydrated and cooled in our primary cooler. This process allows the removal of any natural field heat while fully hydrating the product.

Our coolers and trucks are always at a nice frosty 37 degrees. This allows our products to get to your designated shipper of choice in optimal condition. Our packing manager and drivers randomly probe boxes to ensure that proper pre-cooling has occurred.
